Permits have always been a difficult part of the building process in the hamptons. Now, in the land of mega-mansions permits have become even more restrictive. East Hampton town has reduced the allowable size of a single family home to 7% of the total lot size plus 1,500 square feet. Additionally they have added a 10,00 square foot cap.
