Town of Southampton short-term rental law has just changed. The Town recently banned short-term rentals which will effect how you go about listing your house for rent in the future. In an article from The New York Post they explain the ban – “The measure — passed 4-1 by the village board of trustees on Aug. 19 — sets a new two-week minimum for home rentals across the ritzy beachside locale…” . Without the ease of rental listing services such as VRBO or AirBNB for short weekend or week long bookings, you’ll likely need to turn to a real estate agent if you want list your home for rent. This also means getting a rental permit from Southampton Town.
